Awesome! Another thing I noticed that seems to help a little is to set Vista so that it only creates System Restore Points every week or so, as opposed to creating one at every bootup (and I mean EVERY SINGLE ONE...that's just crazy on MS's part). I did that too and if I recall, it helped speed things up when logging in and getting the usual auto-loaded programs going.
Oh and just a random thing, but when I first installed my C: drive in my computer (Western Digital, I think), it was registering as being around 110F operating temperature. I put an 80mm case fan in front of it and now the temps are currently 73F. I have a home-made CPU fan setup (huge 120mm, 80cfm+ case fan with a modified Dell fan shroud to direct the air) and it keeps everything plenty cold.
You said that I can just remove the old rubber material and put the poly version in the metal sleeve....I'm unsure what else you said. I have the worst short-term memory. :\

No, I do. Bad case of CRS. But that was it, other than I found it out the hard way.
BTW- I have an extra set that are used, ( but like new). I bought them first and then found a new set on eBay, so if you don't have some already, PM me and we'll see about getting them to you for cheap. (If I can remember where I put them.....)
I installed a window for my Brothers Girlfriend today, I hate to admit it... but this is the first thing I worked on that did not give me any problems!!
Damn you Hyundai!!!! How dare you make a car that does not fight you when being worked on...
Someone smashed her window in, great way to start the new year!
Just wait till it's time for plugs or an oil change... It'll get you back at you then....
I'm even wondering if it would hve been as easy if it was your brothers WIFE instead of girlfriend.... Something about everything being harder when that designation changes....
I'm going to do her brakes and oil soon, once they get a bit more money in.
I looked at her engine, the plugs aren't that bad, i wouldn't want to work on too much else though
Uh huh- And that stray dog is pretty much mine.....lol. you'll get it in time....
Is anything ever as easy as it looks? The plugs may be, but then when you start wrenchin.....maybe yes, maybe no... Gonna do her brakes and oil too? Who's wife is she practically already?. JK.
Put Rotella 15w40 in it, it'll last forever then! lol
Last week it was pretty darn cold, and I was adding a bit of oil to bring it back up to level on the Cherokee (it has a bad valve cover gasket, leaks oil out the back), and the oil (Rotella 15w40, non-synthetic) was like molasses. It's already thick to begin with, but it's crazy how thick it gets when it gets cold. That's why I always let an engine run for at least five minutes when first starting it, and for at least a minute if it's been running or is warm.
