Wow 4 days & the start of page 5. Jeff your doing a great job as CL. I run a carb on my 86 F250 4x4, 460. It is a 4160 Holley. I have thought about FI but the cost is too great for no more than I drive it 5000 miles/yr. I have also thought about a Q-Jet with an adapter. The Q-Jet would give my the power but also most likely better gas mileage. Has anyone ever run a Q-Jet on a 460? If so what if any difference was noticed, GOOD or BAD?

I do also. & yea 750 & 800 CFMs are available. I learned Q-Jets from going to a school that a Cadillac dealer sent me to in the 1970s. Then when I worked for Adams Custom Engines in Reno he taught me how to build them bullet proof. Everett Adams was one of the top fuel men in the Country. He was a Crew Chief at the Indy 500 for about 3 years. Boy did I learn a lot in that shop.
Now you really have me thinking maybe I should do it. One thing I know for a fact the 4175 Speadbore Holley gets about 4 less MPG than a Q-Jet on a 88 Dodge 5.9 that is a pre Magnum motor. This I learned the hard way. The Holley was faster but at a big cost in my opinion.

Anyone know the price for a wiring harness in the wrecking yards near Fallon/Reno or the Vegas area? I need to find a dash harness out of a '96 to '98 mustang so that I can get started on my project. Once I get that all I need is sensors and dummy sensors.
I may know where one is in SLC but I don't know if the yard has the car still. Also, any good tuning places in Vegas? If I get this done before our G2G I am going to need to have the computer programed.
