The link is saying don't pay Ford to change the part for you. It might take them 3 days and they sometimes charge $250 for something you can do yourself in less than 30 min. Of course if the recall hasn't been done, let Ford do the work for free. Just make sure you decline any other work the recommend.
OK....new problem....i swear to god the wts light was on earlier....i went out and just wiggled the cps connection hoping for a loose connection....now no wts....thanks guys
That's usually a blown fuse. Check fuse #30. If it's blown, unplug your fuel bowl heater, install a good fuse (leaving the heater unplugged) and try to start.
Yep, that's one way. If it's blown, disconnect the plug ~2" from the top, at the rear of the fuel filter bowl. It'll be a two wire connector. Then replace the blown fuse, and try to start. Just leave the plug on the filter housing undone, at least for the time being.
Let's start over. All fuses (not just #30) check good with a test light? Tried swapping the relays around with each other? Engine oil full? Fuel tank full of diesel (noticed you recently filled up - no gas right)? Any chance the fuel is gelled? Is the fuel bowl full of fuel? Is there any smoke or odors coming out the tailpipe while cranking? Where did you get your new CPS and did you plug the connector back in? Is the tach moving while cranking?
All fuses test good with test light. swapped relays? as in the blower with pcm? yes...just changed oil since it was low and needed changed anyway. full of DIESEL. fuel shouldn't be jelled only in the 30's and treated. Fuel bowl is full...no smoke or odors...cps came from ford...yes its plugged in and tach doesn't move while cranking

Have you tried wiggling the harness over the driver side valve cover while some one was watching for the WTS light and listening for the fuel pump? (with ignition in the on position obviously)
Ok, so you have no WTS, any other lights come on? Time to break out the manual and look for the fuses for the PCM. Then with the ignition in the on position, make sure the circuit is live... if you've already checked all the fuses, now you need to ensure the PCM fuses are getting juice when they are suppose to.
