What is the "normal" boost range for moderate to concervative driving on a 6.0l? I have to really get after it to see anything above 10PSI, and I have never seen it go past 20. These readings all come from the stock gage.
That sounds about right. Depending on my tune and headwind I see 4-12 psi cruising at 65mph. I used to get 27 psi max, but after putting in the Banks intercooler it tops out at 22.
I have an 05' and I get right at 30 when I get on it. It is stock and I am reading it with the factory gauges which may have some difference in the readings. They are supposed to be accurate but I am sure they can be misleading as well.
When my truck was stock I would see a max anywhere between 27-29psi but since I have added an S&B intake, pusher intake elbow, and 4 inch turbo back. my max boost has dropped to 20-22psi using the stock guage. Cruising boost has stayed about the same at 7-10psi This is about the only difference I see that those parts made to my truck. My initial thought was that the boost would stay the same or rise due to better airflow, but I guess it worked in reverse to what I thought.

That's because you aren't getting better airflow. A/M intakes don't flow more then stock until you hit 3700 rpms on the tach. Peak HP and TQ are made at 3300 and 2000 on the tach. You have to be way outside the usable range of the 6.0 in order to enjoy better airflow. I'm sorry to say, but you didn't get much for your money on that one. A lot of people don't take into account when those intakes flow better then stock, they just stop at it flows better then stock. This also isn't getting into filtration and all that(which is also in favor of the stock intake).
