As of Tuesday, Arrow Trucking is no longer in business.
Why is this an issue?
Because they left hundreds of drivers stranded in their trucks all over the country. Three days before christmas. Fuel cards shut off. No way home. Drivers told to take their trucks to the dealers.
Google "arrow trucking" to read the news.
There's a facebook page for coordinating "rescue" efforts to get drivers home, or at least closer to home.
Search on "arrow trucks" there, too.
(I'd post the link that I used, but I'm not sure that it'd NOT bring in my own profile.)
Daimler Trucks North America is coughing up $200 to get drivers a bus ticket home, but not to get the drivers from the dealerships to the bus station. To say nothing of all the drivers' personal belongings IN the truck(s).
If nothing else, perhaps volunteering to get drivers from the truck dealers to the bus station?
I'm not currently in any position to help, and may not be able to help at all. But I don't feel right in not at least spreading the word so that others who are able to help, can.
Man that is areal crappy way to do business. I mean, Arrow must have know about the closure weeks ago. Still, they let their drivers out. Only to be stranded at Christmas.
From what I read last night, paychecks have been bouncing.... FOR A MONTH. The upper-level folks at corporate knew this was coming.
The comments I read seem to point the finger of death at the son of the founder, for gutting company finances via high-on-the-hog living. But since they're only talking through the lawyers, there's currently no real way to get the whole story.

If I was working for Arrow, the first bounce would have sent me looking elsewhere for employment.
Been there done that long ago with a different job and learned my lesson.

If there were other employment opportunities, I'd follow that advice. Instead, I get to wait several days for my paycheck, I still haven't gotten compensated for bank fees, and now I've been shorted about a third of my last check. But what can I do? Quit and file for unemployment, become another number? I'd rather work for what I get than go running to the state.
Let me know if anybody is in the Idaho Falls area, I can give some transport.

Likewise if anyone is in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia, let me know and I'll assist with a ride to a bus stop and maybe even a cup o' joe to boot.
