with a 108,000 miles i doubt it'd be a 2010. probably an 09 if anythnig.if this was true its good the guy due something to get his money but to bad its still called theft
That's true, 2010s didn't start being sent out until July so at best 6 months so that is 18,000 miles a mounth... Thats dang good miles for a driver with a company that has a lot of freight. Actually if your running 4000+ miles a week as a single you are not running a legal log book.
I think someone else in there might have the right idea though, if Arrow owes money to you take the truck to some place to lock it up and file for a lien against it. .
If they dont have the cash to get home, I doubt they have cash for a lein
talked with him by e mail, I think he owned his truck! not 100% sure though, he is just trying to pay this months rent so he is selling anything he can. I assumed it is all his?
So true, I have about had enough of those "Eastern European foreigners" coming into where I work barely speaking enough English so that I can understand. For some reason they have a fondness for sports warm up suits. I can see "em coming.....
I was out at the shop on sunday night finishing up brakes on the truck and cleaning up a bit. When I went outside to start my truck and let it warm up there was a truck driver that fit your description ask to use the restroom. He was a nice enough guy.
I've found that the majority of eastern european people are hard workers. Of course there are exceptions such as the jypsis but for the most part they are just like you or I, trying to make a living.
They need to outlaw or better regulate brokers. THAT is the biggest bunch of leech's on the industry. Actually had one tell me that I should take his frieght cause it would pay for my fuel... Sorry i not out here to almost break even, I was better off running empty

The following is a work of fiction and not to be taken seriously:
Were I ever ripped off like Arrow treated its drivers, the truck would take me to my friends car dealership where I'd drop it off because I would magically run out of gas money, or I'd arrange to have it towed from my house to accrue an "abandoned vehicle" tow bill for the vehicle owner.
Suitable lawful dealer/tower storage bills would accrue, and a magistrate sale would follow.
(A bankrupt company won't have assets to bid at the magistrate auction and it isn't likely it could afford a tow either.)
Magistrate titles trump all other claims including liens and are free and clear.
They are necessary for towing companies and others to recover losses from deadbeat customers and abandoned vehicles. The owner is notified by registered mail at the registered address to settle the debt lest the item be auctioned.
"Citing safety concerns, federal regulators issued an order calling for Arrow to bring its abandoned trucks back, but it’s not clear if Arrow is looking for drivers to recover equipment and loads."
it is to be hoped the company doesn't recover and everything it owned goes to auction. Abandoned trucks don't pose a safety concern. They can be towed, stored, then sold or scrapped.
Abandoned trucks pose no real threat. Abandoned LOADS, CAN present a threat under certain circumstances. But the gossip running around was that Arrow had not hauled any hazmat loads in weeks previous, so there's no real telling what's up.
Arrow did haul DOD loads though. Some of the less secret loads like Hmmwv wouldn't be sat tracked so could be missing and the government WOULD think that was important.
