EGR valve plugged in or unplugged after delete

So I get my truck back today, shop did a oil cooler and a delete. They are telling me to leave my EGR valve unplugged? That is contradicting what I have read here.
Opinions?

Unplugging the EGR valve can affect operation of the cooling fan.

I shoulda warned ya to just check the first page but forgot-lol. No real info on which flash version is affected either but the explanation of the fan operation using IDS by a well trained and trusted Tech was the main point.

From what I've read on here if you don't have a tuner then leave it plugged in...if you have a tuner then leave it unplugged...

That said...here's my real world...I've run mine for two years unplugged without a tune with no problems at all.

Now I'm 6 months of running with a tune that turns off the EGR...just toasted the oil cooler and at least one of the hg...coincidence?

Hope that helps you...not sure if it helps me or not...LOL

I guess after I have finished the hg and studs and installed external coolant and oil filters and a running a tune...I'm not worried at all about keeping it status quo...
