I have heard very good things about the general tire at2's. They have a nice looking aggresive tread and have great ratings in the snow. also they are 160 per tire which i think is pretty reasonable. And yes knox ony about 60 a week. Maybe a little more, it just depends. It would only be about half of that if my girlfriend didnt live so far away lol. And yes the nearest place for me to get fuel is about 10 miles away also.
Get a girl closer best thing you can do for the pocket book. PS they are everywhere. lol
When I am in NM it is a 60 mile round trip to the closest grocery store.
Winter fuel is a blend of #2 and #1 or kerosene.
Both #1 and kerosene contain less BTU's per gallon, so the power is down.
That makes you run the engine harder with a little more throttle than normal, so lower MPG's.
Add the extended warm up time to the lower MPG's, engine running so the heater is on while talking to GF, viola you notice the difference in your wallet.
I emptied a 40 gallon tank Saturday and Sunday, and never went more than 5 miles from the house.
When I fill up I bet the MPG numbers will be maybe .5 MPG, but I sure did make some big piles of snow.
Don't forget we also lost some btu's = mileage when we changed to low sulphur, then again when we went to ulsd maybe the guberment will get us down to 5 mpg in their quest to get us to drive priuses.

lmao yeah.
well my trucks are used for a tree service for example.
all the junk fuel and high prices just raise the prices for my field of work.i must charge more to compensate the extra costs.no choice.(its that or my business goes under.period.)
so all us who make a living using our rigs just have to raise our prices.be it like my future chipper/wood/brush hauler or Daves snow plowing/sanding rig.
we just have to pass these increases on to our consumers which sucks for them of course especially with these hard times we're in.
luckily, for these examples (myself and Daves rigs) we offer services that must be hired out.(not everyone has their own snow plowing rigs and not everyone can prune/remove large trees in some real hairy places).
high fuel prices are what killed our economy imho.i saw it as soon as the pumps read over $2 a gallon.
it drives the costs of everything up way to high.food/goods/and many other transportation dependent items/things.
until the government gets a clue and LOCKS the price of oil,we're all screwed imho.
when its cheaper to sit at home and collect welfare, instead of buying a car, insuring it,licensing it,and all the costs of it,and to buy fuel for it,and going to work for those who can only get minimum wage jobs(thats millions of folks of course) then what did the government think would happen to our economy right?
America (well not just us.its just we're all sunk right now-millions out of jobs etc, etc, of course) NEEDS to STOP working for the oil companies! there's MUCH more fuel we all pay for regardless of the little hybrids some drive.
Every body has different opinions I think we need to quit holding the oil companies back and let them devolop domestic oil.
Another thing is all products, everything you can buy depends on transportation.
