Every one is right about the price. I use the NAPA golds and only pay $62 , as far as changing the filter , a couple of long extensions will carry you out to the fuel tank and there you have plenty of room to get the leverage you need. Also please up grade your plug.
Napa/WIX fuel and oil filters are NOT OEM spec'd for the 6.0L PSd motor.
Racor is the OEM manufacture and they designed the housing (oil and filter) to accept their filters ONLY and safely. Others have tried to copy the filters and some do fit...but buyer beware!!!
You stated above that you paid $62.00 for the fuel filter kit... and I know for a fact that it is NOT OEM made (may look similar but not OEM). You can buy OEM fuel filters at any Int'l truck dealer/center and pay 1/2 that... and get OEM performance for less money... so why risk it.
My local dealer sells them for around $70.00/kit... so if your willing to spend that amount of money ($62.00)... spend a few more and know your getting OEM quality from Racor (The OEM designed of the fuel and oil filter housings).
You can order these fuel filters on line from distributors that ONLY sell OEM filters (someone here will post a link)... and they will be less than the $62.00 you spent.
Just want you to know that you have options that will cost you less and give you better quality.
on my last filter change I used fuel filters from auto zone, Luberfiner Filters with no problems at all.even compared them to napas filters they were cheaper at auto zone $49.00 for filters, $63.00 @ napa just my 2 cents by the way merry xmas all..... FFF
