HFCM FILTER ?

When I changed my filter out last weekend I noticd that the bottom half of the filter if you lay it down was really dirty and the top halp looked like new.
Is this normal or is it a giant air pocket in there and fuel not filling up completely ?

Sounds like the filter is doing it's job of filtering the crap out of the fuel. Don't think there's an air pocket inside the filter housing of the HFCM.

If you had an air pocket the truck would have runnability problems.

It looked aftermarket. I just bought the truck 1 month ago and after reading everything on the forums, I decided to do fuel filters, oil filters with 5/40 synthetic, cooling system flush and a new thermostat.

If you put in a FORD filter (or equiv) you'll know next change. I wouldn't sweat it for now...
