Any one seen this yet ? looks like they are just filtering used oil. What do you think ? Black Diesel Fuel .50 cents a Gallon (It's not Biodiesel)

You can make Black Diesel out of used motor oil you get for free. It isn't biodiesel. It's easier to make and easier to get. This report will show you all you need to know to save a ton of money and end your dependence on the Middle East. Black Diesel gives more miles per gallon, longer engine life and more power than regular diesel. It works great in most diesel engines without modifications including Ford Powerstroke , Dodge Cummins , VW TDI , GMC Chevy Duramax , Mercedes Diesels , International , Farm and construction equipment big trucks etc. It may not be the answer to the world's energy problems but it could be the answer to yours.

I am headed your way for work after the first of year, we need to get coffee and bs for a while, if you have any evenings free. I will be on the other side of the conowingo dam working. Do you live in the town of oxford or country ?
i read a post somewere on PSN a while back about a guy wanting to do biofuel and a guy had mentioned that he had a trucking business and he has been using old engine oil for years and hasnt had an issue, takes along time to filter and process from what ive read, but ifyou think about it, the injectors would be having the time of there life! 100% pure lubrication.
UMO is bad for our trucks.
Its really hit and miss.
Here is the deal.
There is metal fibers in the UMO. Depending on engine wear.
You guys send that stuff to blackstone, they tell you how good the oil is.
If you were to "control" the drain and batches of UMO, and send away for tests for particulates in the oil from the test, and figure out what a decent number is, then good, do it. Otherwise, stay away from it with HEUI injectors.
There isn't anything we can filter it well enough with to get rid of the particles we need to get rid of that can damage our injectors.
Other style injectors in things like detroit diesels, and farm tractors are not effected by it. Especially old ones.
If you wanted to run this in your old IDI, you'd be all set. Injectors are not as precious as our HEUI systems.
The most you want to cut is 50/50.
You can really cut it more on farm tractors, but they smoke like the dickens. I've heard up to 80/20 on older farm tractors.
My Honest Opinion would be to stay away from it with our trucks. the fuel system is far to delicate. It's not delicate. but needs to be filtered well. The fuel filter on our trucks wont like the oil to well either.
If you did possibly want to run this system. You could most likely do this with an electric system, they have better staged filtering systems for the fuel which might do enough filtering. But then you get all the metal sediment in your tank.
The fuel filter on our trucks wont like the oil to well either.
How about this. The way I see it if anything gets past the fuel filter it should be small enough to be ok. Think about it. The filter filters down to a certain amount and any thing in the diesel fuel that is smaller will get buy so any thing in the waste oil small enough to get buy should be ok also. And diesel is known to have a lot of sludge in it.
first off I have no idea on this process...but I imagine you must move the used oil from reservoir to reservoir during the filtering process...could you not make a section of hose that is removable betwixt reservoirs...and then line the outside bottom of this hose with strip magnets zap stapped or taped...when the hose gets restricted pull it out...clean it and reinstall...the magnets would help filter the metal particles one would think....or just call me crazy....
I have used it mixed 50/50 with no problems. I let it sit for about 5 days to let water settle then pump 8" off bottom of drum, first time I use cotton tee shirt material 2 layers thick with magnets placed in them. Filter setup is whole house water filters first 20 micron second 10 micron third 5 micron and final 1 micron. I have never had a clogged filter on truck and it runs quieter. My filters are smaller than pump diesel as well as filter on truck. It is easier to use on Power Strokes because there is no injector pump to worry about. Just my .02

I will try and take some tomorrow and post them up. Real easy setup I use a 1/2 hp clear water pump from Harbor Freight. The 1 micron filters come from McMasterCarr.

The thing is, metal particles will get though the filter and eat up the injectors.

That is quite elaborate setup to do that. But it would work. Enough magnets and filters and I imagine you could do it.
Anytime everyone has spoke of adding UMO, they report bad results.
I'm definately not a fan of it, but my cousin ran it in his 6.0 for quite a while before selling it and didn't seem to have any problems. He filtered it thru the same set up he used for bio filtering.
