4R100 trans bolt up question, 5.4L, V10, diesel.

I know the V10 and Diesel trans has a different bolt up pattern. My questions does the V10 and the 5.4L 4R100 interchange? I have a V10 truck and a friend is parting a E350 van that had a 5.4L engine. He said I could have the 4R100 trans.

Yes, the 5.4L trans will bolt to the V10. The 5.4L trans has weaker internals than the V10, but it will bolt up.

I guess I would make sure it's a 4r100, I think it's possible to have the 4r70 in a van.

Good point! I forgot that some 5.4L vans had the 4R70W.
