Well Rick, here's what I was dealing with yesterday morning. My buddy took this picture with his cell standing thigh deep in snow!
No you can't see the running boards cause they're under the snow. The driver's side was pushing snow when I opened it. This was about 8am yesterday morning just after I pulled a buddy out of the ditch. It is about 4 miles from my house and got deep quick. Didn't know how deep it was until it was too late. Walked down to the house you can barely see in the background to get pulled out. It was deeper further up the road and there's no way we could have motored thru it.

Are you sure you want snow?!?!?!
. OH heck no. I couldn't imagine snow that deep and trying to drive in it. How do you know where the road is?
It's a road I drive everyday so I've got a really good idea how wide the roadbase is and where the ditches start. IT also helps that this particular section is straight, so that helps! The pic makes it look much darker than it really was too. It was almost fully light outside when it happened.
I guess I will have to make a trip up north to see some real snow. I've only seen snow on tv and mags. Besides what we get down here that dont even stay on the ground for long.

If you get up MT way, lots of fun to be had in the snow. Get the snowmobiles out and go do 80 in the powder, yee haw. Although its really not looking like fun temps for it here, -28 tonight.....

I bet that would be something funny, you and I up there driving in the snow and ice. What are you doing home?

Windshield, heated grips, and if you have your feet up in the toe holds, you get the engine heat to keep the feet warm. Although when in extremely deep powder in teh mountains, I tend to be standing more, feet in the back. Almost like floating in water. As we liek to say, good clean fun
Good gloves, jacket, snow pants and a good pair of sleddin boots and you stay amazingly warm. Riding hard is quite the workout, 600 lbs of machine or so under you to toss around......

Are you crazy? Do you really want to get out in all that cold? Like you said, can't even see the road. Not to mention one of those fools will drive you across a lake. Happened to me up in Minnesota. A car should not drive over a lake just cuz it has ice on it. I didn't enjoy it one bit. Not to mention the snow banks everywhere. I've gotten to travel, they can keep the cold and the snow. Pictures of snow is just fine for me.

Not when the ice is 6 foot thick.
The best is to take an ATV across open ice, especially if the sun is out and the ice melts a bit. Nice and slick, good for sidewards slides.
This is what I do when I get bored while ice fishing. You know its safe to hold weight when you can hear it cracking.
Are you drunk? You won't catch my but on some frozen lake sitting next to a heater trying to fish. When it's cold out, the only fish I catch are the ones at the grocery store.
Expecting up to 11" by tuesday night here in the good ol NE. Man you can make some money pulling out these city slickers. Nice!
Calling for a foot here...I'd say there's 5 inches out there right now. Snowing for the next 2 days straight.
I'll get some pictures for ya Rick.

Who said anything about a heater? And what does my being drunk have to do with any of this?
