Motor mounts; Solid vs. Rubber

I'm almost done with my 2wd to 4wd conversion. Now the motor mounts. My original engine that I'm re-using is a 460. The 2wd mounts that are on the engine have the rubber center. My plan was to use the 4wd frame perches and get a set of 4wd motor mounts, but the mounts that I got on ebay are solid. So here's my question; Do I keep the 2wd mounts with the rubber and fab frame perches or buy a set from summit, or do I use the 4wd frame perches and solid motor mounts? The engine is stock and I don't plan on doing much to it or using the truck for severe off roading. Thanks for any responses.

I heard those solid steel motor mounts are crap and that they eventually mess up ur truck. I recommend you use L&L Products rubber motor mounts they only run about $125 and they have a pretty good warranty.

I ordered the trans dapt mounts from Amazon for $100, they qualified for free super saver shipping and got a $30 credit for opening an amazon credit card (which I will pay off within the 20 day grace period!)

I don't know I go by the saying that " You get what you buy" I rather spend my money on a quality product.

Solid motor mounts introduce a lot of vibration into the daily routine, but with a stock or mild motor it shouldn't be too bad. The main thing is to still use a rubber mount for the transmission, especially if you happen to be using a C6.
