electronic ignition timing?
i have a 79 f250 with a duraspark ll distributor. The shaft of my distributor doesnt turn, and im trying to time my engine. How do i time an engine with an electronic ignition?

Do you mean the base or body of the distributor won't turn? You won't be able to turn the shaft with the distributor installed in the engine since the gears are engaged with the camshaft.
You time an electronic system the same as points. The pick-up of the timing light connects/ clamps to the #1 plug wire.
If the base is stuck you may need to soak it in PB Blaster and lightly tap it to dislodge it.

What do you mean it doesn't turn?
Hook a timing light up to the #1 cylinder plug wire (front passenger side of block) and hook up your power and ground clips to the battery. Shoot the light at the timing pointer on the passenger side front of motor and adjust dizzy to get to your reccomended timing spec.
