Think I paid 1650 for the warranty. With the other truck I would have only paid 1360, but that's not so bad in IMO. I also financed through Ford to get the extra 1000 rebate and then after one payment I'm refinancing through my credit union for about half the interest.
Got the FX4 SCREW 6.5 bed with driver's package, sync, rear slider, the 6 disc stereo, and a bunch of other stuff I can't remember.. The only thing this truck doesn't have that we wanted was the remote start, but we can have that put in aftermarket and the dealer even recommended a guy that would be considerably cheaper than the service department and uses the ford part so it won't void any warranty.

I paid $1200 (about) for my 7 yr/100k warranty on my fully loaded Lariat. If you haven't checked out the warranty site, I recommend you do. You can still cancel yours and buy from Lombard Ford - it will only cost you $75. Or you can print out the quotation from fordwarrantys.com and take it to the dealer and ask him to match the price. Who knows, even if he doesn't maatch, you might save $300-400 - enough to pay for the remote start or some mud flaps!
I'm not that worried about it... I'm not hurting for money and I just don't feel like doing the leg work right now. But thanks... And I don't do mudflaps... I never have liked them unless on a dually. When I was in high school, I actually got pulled over on the freeway for not having mudflaps on my 77 f-150 4x4 because the tires barely stuck out from the wheel wells... I subsequently blew the motor before I had time to get the mudflaps inspected by the highway patrol, so I ended up having to go to court and got 16 hours of community service for not having mudflaps... taught me to take care of fix-it tickets. I took the mudflaps back off after I eventually got the truck up and running and inspected.
I can't wait to pick up the new truck tomorrow. They said we should be able to take delivery about 1 PM. Conveniently, the 4 wheel parts store is about 2 blocks from the dealership, so we are looking at leveling kits too.
