How hard is it to remove the broken plugs with the tool from snap-on. I plan on gouing by the TSB by the letter. Just want to know how hard is it to get the plug out after you break it.
I will sell you the snap-on tool, new, never used, for $50 plus actual shipping. I ordered it and then ended up borrowing one from my buddy, same tool but the Rotunda Ford model, before mine arrived. I can take a pic and e-mail it this weekend (tool box is at camp) thanks.
I have changed 23 out of 24 plugs without breaking them so far with Kroil. all at 40-45k.
Don't know jack about the Snap-On tool, other then I'm sure it's over priced. But whatever tool you buy, make sure it has the ability to push the ceramic down in the event you break a plug where the ceramic remains in the head.
Send me a pic of the tool I might buy it from you. I was trying to find out after you break a plug how big of an ordeal is it do extract. How long did it take.
The best tool to buy is the 65600 Lisle set. It has the pusher to force the procelain down in the heatshield for the puller tool to thread into the heatshield and remove it. I replaced mine with the #7989 Champion plugs a year ago and have been pleased with them.
