help with this mod (first one)

I have seen it on here but cant remember the name, put an LED on the GPR and it is wild how long it will stay on. my first mod, not much but money is very low, in school and only small jobs.

It's referred to as the glow plug LED mod. You can find a good write up: click here

Does anybody know how to do this on a truck with a GPCM?

let me show my lack of understanding what is a GPCM did not see it under the list of mods.

EX's and Cali trucks with 7.3's have a Glow Plug Control Module instead of a Glow Plug Relay.

Other then using 8 leds, no.

I have found that by watching my battery voltage, I can tell when my GPs shut down. The voltage jumps up 1 or 1.5V when they shut off. I was going to do this mod, but decided it wasn't needed after I noticed this.

CongratsGood deal,bad part is,PMS only gets worse.Keep on modding when ya can and hang around

just heard it some where and liked it, I do doctor snakes that get in the chicken pin.

Either like Robin said 8 Leds or you can just tap into one wire. I would, personally, install 2 leds, one for each side of the engine.

Just wonderring,I need a couple good Eastern diamond back skins to make some belts.I hunt Westerns here.

Go with 4 green and 4 red. Odd and even. All those lights coming on whenever you turned the key would be real impressive.

You could even go with 4 double leds. They have them that turn green or red depending on which lead gets the juice.

What happens when both leads are energized I don't know.
