Anybody got before and after pics of the V-code spring upgrade? I'm pretty sure I'm gonna do it to my 04 X. And is there anything else I will need besides springs, U-bolts, and blocks? I have contacted Ed the parts guy, so I'm almost ready. Thanks guys

I found a come-a-long and some chain helpful to alighn the springs back on the axles. Aside from that, proper Jack stands, a couple of floor jacks, sockets and a torque wrench.

You will also need a few deep sockets. 21 and 24 mm. You will use these when you remove the front spring bolts. You will enjoy the new ride.

Are you just doing the V's? Or are you doing the V's and the B's?
If just the fronts, you won't be buying new blocks.
WillW, check into the W code springs if you want a bit more lift than the V's. I've heard the X code can be a bit harsh but I guess thats a matter of opinion. I went with the W code because I have 300 lbs extra on the front of my truck to compensate for.... worked out great, I'm able to run 315/75/16 with just a slight rub on the inner fender at full lock.
I just installed V springs on the front of my 05 EX yesterday and left the rear alone for now. I do have some P rear springs but the truck rides so nice now that Im in now hurry. I installed the rancho shocks onto the front that I got with the springs, figured they are better than the stock ones.
It raised the front to 39" from ground to wheel well arch and leveled the truck out. The ride is NIGHT and DAY better.
My wife just called me while driving to a friends house and says shes going to thank me for a job well done later tonight!!!
Plan on 7 hrs. It took me this long working on the floor and this was the first time doing this swap.
I did the left side first then the right side. On the right side I had to unbolt the rear spring shackle from the frame because the the front drive shaft was in the way. I lowered the antisubmarine bar and left it hanging on the rubber to get to the front spring bolts. Also to access the front spring bolt heads there are brackets that support the powersteering cooler, a 10mm bolt holds it in place, the 10mm bolt is hidden behind the rubber baffling. It is a lot of manual labor but well worth it in the end, enjoy!
