I finally got the truck back from the dealer. If you remeber correctly it was smokin like an old freight train. So here is a list of stuff that was done:
This was all done under warranty, and all modules were reflashed as per bulletin # 06-2-4, if anyone has a copy of this bulletin I would like it. It no longer smokes, they said there was a oil leak at the turbo, and had severe carbon build up and wetness in the intake.
The truck is running great and no longer smokes at all. SWEET, as a bonus I got the pinion seal replaced, esp, and had the tranny flushed. The dealer didnt charge me the diesel deductable or my esp deductable...so a thumbs up to them.
I was in desperate need to get the truck back...it may be short lived as my brother was in a near fatal accident on Friday night. I may have to trade it in and get a van for him. I hope not but I will do what I have to do.
I am sad to report that my brother losst his fight on Friday night...what a shame.
I would like to extend my deepest thanks for all the support from those of you on this site...many of whom I have never and may never get to meet. It means so much to me and my family.
