911! I'm dead in the water!

I've got a 96 F 350 PS QC 4X4. It's a 5SPD manual.
I shattered the front output yoke, on the tranfer case. It's a Borg/Warner 4407F. I can't find this yoke anywhere! My local driveline shop isn't having any luck either. They suggested I try the Ford truck forums, so here I am.
The truck has been down for over a month now! I need the transfer case output yoke, for the front driveline, an a 96 Borg/Warner 4407F.
Can anyone help me, or point me to one......Please!
Thanks Guys!

You sure thats the correct model number for the Tcase? Every truck ive seen up to 96 had the 13-56, from 1/2 ton I6s up to 1 ton diesels.... might be worth a shot gettin the yolk for the 13-56 and seein if its what you need.

I'm Sure

I do know my T/C is a 4407. I've picked up a couple 1356 yokes. They won't work. They won't even fit on the input shaft. The metal tag on the T'C, even has 4407 in the numbers. The driveline shop knows I don't need a 1356 yoke, now, with the research they have done. I've owned the truck for 10 years. I'm being told that somebody put a 4407 in my truck, because it is a better T/C. Whether the 1356 broke, or not, I don't know.
Still, ??????

in that case, ya got me. Although I dunno if id call that 4407 better... 13-56s are a dime a dozen, and you cant find even a yolk for that 4407.... If things dont work out id recommend just switchin back IMO

I can't find this yoke Ford: flange anywhere! My local driveline shop isn't having any luck either. They suggested I try the Ford truck forums, so here I am.
1996 F350 w/a Borg Warner 4407 T/C w/Manual Shift. The BW 4407 was factory installed in these trucks.

F5TZ7B214B .. Flange, Front Output / Obsolete

No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.

My question is: Was the 4407 factory installed in your truck, or was it swapped in later? If factory installed:

I suggest you send your truck's VIN to Ed Olson @ FTE sponsor Y2KFORDPARTS.COM (MILLENNIUM FORD in Seattle WA) for assistance.

If swapped in, what was it swapped in from?

F250's also used the 4407, but this flange is a different part number (F5TZ7B214A). It's also obsolete, but I found 72 of them, one in OR.

Thanks Again!

Still Down

I still can't find the yoke. I saw a few on 4407 transfer cases that were for sale, but if I wanted the yoke, I had to buy the transfer case too!
Need the yoke, not the T/C. Anybody got any ideas?

I agree, its time to bite the bullet and swap in a whole new tcase. What ya got aint worth dirt if its unusable, dont matter how good of shape the rest of it is in.

Sooo....does that mean the 4407 is going to be a problem with other parts as well? My 460/auto truck has one....now I'm a bit worried....

just swap it out with a 1356 when you break it or a np205 but i havn't really heard of the 1356 transfercases breaking so you really shouldn't need to upgrade to the 205
