Fuel smell

I have an '01 7.3 with approx 155K on it. I'm getting some raw fuel smell if I start and don't run a couple miles. I'm wondering about injectors (and I guess the injector pump) and whether I'm close to "should replace" on those?

Spotteddog you should visit the Powerstroke 7.3 forum if yours is an 01 year truck, engines are totally different.

Moved to the 1999 to 2003 7.3 Power Stroke forum.

You will get better answers about your engine there.

Hey man, Welcome. If you are getting a raw fuel smell then you should check and see if you have fuel in the engine valley. If so it could be from your fuel drain o-rings or fuel bowl lines.

If you suspect it is the fuel drain valve here is the LINK for O-ring replacement.

You can also take a look and see if you have diesel fuel floating on top of your anti-freeze.

Not really.

I wonder why Dave Sponaugle decided to move it on 11-01-2009.

That's quite a bump!!!
