I just replaced the spark plugs, plug wires, and distributor cap in my 94 F150 with the 300 I6...also put a K&N airfilter in it. Now when i start the engine I notice an unburnt fuel smell which goes away but comes back when i rev it in neutral.....i checked to see if the plugs were seated correctly and they are....and there is no noticable fuel leaking anywhere. any ideas?
also, there is a slight hesitation when I romp on it in neutral but it revs up smooth with smooth pedal depression. any ideas about that and could the two be related? could it be injectors? i'm going to run a bottle of injector cleaner thru it....other than that, i'm lost. any help would be appreciated....thanks
Make sure that the air intake hose is secure and that there are no vacuum leaks. A leak between the throttlebody and the mass-air sensor will make them run bad.
Also, clean the mass-air sensor. It make have a small oil film on it fron the initial start-up from the new filter.

thanks, jimmy, i'll give that a shot....i gapped the spark plugs a little wider and that took care of the hesitation and some of the fuel smell, but it's still there sometimes
