fuel smell
i smell fuel when i'm driving. 1985 6.9 , motor rebuilt, new injectors,new clutch, new fan blade, gas tank just dropped and cleaned. truck runs like a dog. any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated. thanks

Did you notice the smell prior to having all this work done? If not, there's a possibility there was fuel spilled on the engine when the injectors were changed. Try degreasing you engine once and see what happens.

Just wanted to put my $0.02 worth in. Make sure you have clamps on the injector lines. I have a 90 7.3 IDI and had 2 lines crack within 2 weeks of each other:-( . Turns out the guy who owned it before me took the clamps off to replace the pump. He never put them back on. About 10,000 miles later the lines started cracking. I put new lines on and replaced the clamps. I've had no more trouble in the last 11,000 miles.
