Got my new EnV3 yesterday, looked it up on mysync.com which listed it as being tested for audio streaming. I pair the thing to my truck but can only get the phone part to work. I set the phone to usb and nothing, I set it to stream audio via blue tooth and nothing... Am I doing something wrong? My audio sync broke?
I have the env2 and get it to work without too much of a problem. Sync it up first as you have. Then change the sync media option to bluetooth streaming audio. When I have done this, it will disconnect my phone and say no bluetooth device connected. Most of the time it does not work the first try.
Couple things I have done to get it to work. Try turning the phone off/on. Sometimes that will get it to work. Or I have in the past performed a master reset and turned phone off/on.
However, I have two phones capable of being synced to the truck which causes problems when I try streaming audio as sometimes it connects my other phone even though it is not set to primary.
Once you get it to work, you will also find that when you play streaming audio that the Sync phone part will disconnect you also. Joy, but honestly, if you want to play music thru your sync hook up a flash drive to the USB port or better yet, do the 2nd USB hub mod, the best way to go. I haven't done it yet as waiting to get my 2nd flash drive to do it.

Well I screwed around with it on the way home and now my sync phone doesnt work. Must mean I was close to getting the audio to work! I will try a usb flash drive.... I tried the phone with a usb cable and could not get anything out of it. This is kind of a pain.... Wish I would have researched this before I upgraded my phone.
After reading these comments, I decided to try my Bold with Sync again. Earlier I was trying to get it to work as I have never been able to get sound from the BB to the speakers. I gave up until I read this post.
So I did the speaking command of bluetooth audio, and of course the normal stream media display came up. This always comes up, but there was never any control, the music would never play, well it turns out that because I was working on this configuration earlier, I left the play button on the BB, so the music was playing, when I said bluetooth audio, I heard some sounds through the speakers. I noticed on the BB that the wireless volume level was low, so I increased it, and there was music, good quality music.
So I tried to figure out why I havn't been able to play before, I havn't figured it out yet, but I do know that I must hit the play button on the BB in order to transmit the music, it does not autoplay, I don't know if it should or not, so I will be doing more research to figure this out.
