iPhone 4 and Sync/bluetooth
Ok, I've had my truck for a while now and it's the first one to ever have bluetooth audio streaming. The problem I have is that once my phone links into the truck I can't hear any other indications at all......there's no sound for a text message or incoming email or anything that should play from my phone. I never had this problem with the USB link in my Chevy. It's annoying because I need to keep my phone sitting on my lap to feel if I get a text or something. it happens whether I'm using USB to charge or streaming. Any one else having this problem??

From what I have read (I don't have an iPhone, so I merely skim), there are a number of cable and software issues with the iPhones.

mine dings and sounds when i have a text or email. While its connected through bluetooth lock the phone, then double press the home button to pull up the media player. next to the volume or play button is another little option. press it and it gives you the option of using the phone for alerts or sync. mine works with no problems.
