lift question

whats up guys, I was wondering what leveling kit to go with? I want as much height as I can get out of it without going with a lift kit for now. When I do the leveling kit should I change the shocks. what are your suggestiones for the back I've heard of doin blocks or leafs what do you recommend, I would like to get a lil more weight in the bed without the sag. I am new to the truck thing and appreciate any info.

I have a Hell Bent Steel 2.5" leveling kit, And I love it. I purchased it on Hell Bents ebay store, It was easy to install, And the customer service I have talked to at Hell Bent are awesome to deal with. They make a 3" leveling kit, But the owner at Hell Bent Steel told me that unless you are running a snow plow, Or like the "front end high look" like the guys in CA; Just go with the 2.5". Mine looks great and makes the whole truck look lifted. The important thing to look for in a leveling kit is to get the one that mounts above your strut assembly. Its an easier install, Doesen't change the ride quality, And you dont need to dissasemble strut pack. You still need to get an alignment done after the install to put everything make in spec.

no great info. I want to do a leveling kit in the front and raise the rear for a higher stance all around. I want the front leveling kit and want to know what is the best thing for the rear to lift it a lil and get more payload out of it. Thanx for the response.

I believe the only way to get some more payload out of it is by using an add-a-leaf kit. I have no experience with this though so I can't really comment.

A couple friends of mine in the diesel side world are all running air bag systems. They are adjustable to meet the needs of what ever your hauling.

OP,
I would go with autospring. They seem to be the most popular around here. They sell both the 2.5" leveling kit spacer for the front and either blocks or leafs for the rear. It would be your choice from there. They make a quality product and I have heard nothing bad about them, I am sure others will chime in and say the same thing. Here is a link to their website so you can research for yourself.

eBay Store ? AUTO SPRING KITS: Search results for.

how many miles are on your truck? i would suggest this:
Front: Bilstein 5100 struts (offer stock height, or 1" lift, or 2" lift all in one unit)
Rear: Firestone ride rite air bags.

This way, you get your front leveling kit, plus new shocks, and offers a great ride quality. For the rear, you will have full control of ride height regardless of weight in bed.

thanx for the info guys. The truck has 63,000 miles on it. I'm unfortunately not able to spend alot of money on it right now so looking for the best and cheapest way out. the air ride sounds expensive.
