hey
i own a 1984 f-250 and the other day i was on my way to go pull my friend out of a hole when my truck just started bogging and wouldnt go past quater throttle without bogging out on me. i wasn't even inthe woods yet when it started so im thinking i might just have to spray some carb cleaner and that might do it. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Did you get some dark smoke from the tail pipe? First thing to check is how clean the Air Filter is, especially if you've been messin round in the mud.
with the air cleaner off ,below the choke plates you will see a large screw with 2 metering rods(high speed air bleeds).gently push down to make they are seated.if these are open it will idel and give a little bit of throttle but will bog if you give it more than 1/3 throttle.this happened to me and it took me the longest time to find.
