2000 F150 4x4 OFFROAD 5.4L
- has pulled left since purchase a couple months ago.
- Both hands on wheel in the 1-3 o'clock position to keep it tracking straight.
- I have an appointment to get the front end aligned next week but have been wondering if a faulty power steering box could cause this problem??
its the alignment. question is what caused it to get off? ball joints worn, tie rod ends worn, hit a hole and screwed up the toe in??? alignment and front end checks will tell.
"BEFORE" readings were beyond measurable tolerance, LOL. "AFTER" drives great!
I'm pretty sure I read that 33"-12.5 tires should fit fine on a 2000 4X4 OFFROAD. Just double checking before I spend a wad of cash. Alignment shop recommended against leveling kits. Apparently, steering would be adversely affected when truck is loaded down in the rear.
You can crank your torsion bars a bit and fix any clearance issues without going up too much. Alignments shops will advise against pretty much anything that's outside the norm, at least in my experience...
