HOW do I pull my ignition

I have an 81 full size bronco and I am trying to pull my ignition. HOW do I pull it??

Yo dude I feel your pain-check out the thread at the beginning of this forum-Ya can go to auto zone.com and check out the manual on line -it saved me a hassle and it works well

Thanks, but it doesn't show how to take the ignition out....can you explain it to me? I've got my steering wheel off, is there an ignition puller as well??

No no no.. you dont need to remove the wheel. all you need to do is get your key and a punch or wire hanger. underneith the ign tumbler you will see a little pin hole. insert the punch or hanger in the hole and turn the key counter clockwise just past the ACC postion while pushing lightly with the punch. Once you feel the tumbler stop hard pull it out. Done deal.

ok...i lost my keys...how am i exspected to turn the key if i have no key?? this is why im stuck,is there another trick to turn the key without using the key ...

No not that i can think of.

Only other thing to do is to drill out that pin.

Pull out your emg blinkers switch.

Look under that towards iginition switch and you'll see a hole.

Drill that out and then the iginition switch should pull out with a good tug.

i was told to go to the dealer,my key is original so i should be able to get one recut..ima try that

are you replacing the ignition because you lost the keys? if so a locksmith can help you out by cutting you a new key with out the old one.
