I know that feeling. I spent the last 8 weeks at tradeschool I finally go back to work on Monday and start making money again

 

8 weeks without any pay is rough!

 

It sure is... I finally got ei 2 weeks ago but it's notqueen 1/2 of my normal income

 

A full income is usually rough never mind half of one.

 

Being in the trades the income is pretty good. Hopefully after tomorrow I'll be a 4th year apprentice millwright. Another 8 weeks of school next year and I should be a red seal journeyman millwright.

 

A friend of mine is in the industrial trades, he makes awesome $$, he works long hours during the winter then takes most of the summer off.

 

Yeah I'm in the air compressor buisness. Mostly 8hr days and home almost every night but always overtime available and seems to be a week every 2 months I'll be out of town. Journeyman rate where I work is around $36/hr plus I get a company truck (09 f150 xlt) fuel cards, visa and blackberry do its a good gig. I like it there they treat us good. I still have use of the fuel card for my truck while in school thank god lol school is 18km from home and in the last 8 weeks im at about $570 for fuel lol but I'm loving being able to drive my truck everyday

 

My friend occasionally works in Alberta on oil refinery shut downs, at times it`s 12 hr days and 7 days a week.
That fuel card is certainly worth hanging on to, my son has a company work truck and a fuel card.
