What improvements have users seen with the DP tuner?
I have more than enough power to tow the small enclosed trailer, but since we make trips of up to 800 or 900 miles each way very often, it would be nice to find a way to squeeze out a few more mpg's.
True I didn't buy the excursion for it's high mileage, rather the stability on the road, and room for air mattresses for sleeping at the track, but every little bit counts...

Those guys know how to get some power out of these 6.0/6.4 engines. On our 6.4 we got a tune thats puts at at about 550-570 Ish Hp wise and well over 1,100 TQ Not sure about what they get out of the 6.0 but if they can get it out of the 6.4 then 6.0 must be impressive.
I have the regulated return sitting in a box at home.
I'm saving it for the single shot conversion.
Who's RR did you get? From which company?
The singles will make it even louder over splits?
Yes.
Did you notice a big difference
No.
Installing singles and regulated return, I'm hoping to be at the noise of splits or quiter?
Probably around there.
Are most people happy with the 38R.
I'm sure there are some who aren't happy. I've yet to encounter them, but I'm sure they exist!
The 38R will bring a smile to your face, just like the singles do!
Would you change to something else?
If I ever did, I'd consider a modded H2E or the Garrett 42R.
Excursion, what is your favorite tune for daily driver?
For the Ex, I only have a few tunes, with 80 econo being the only "daily" driver tune.
For my F250 I have 13 tunes. On a daily basis I'll flip between 60 econo, 80 econo, 120 race, and 140 race, depending on my mood and the situation.
Usually I'll cruise in 60 econo tho. It has a tad less smoke than the 80 econo, but it also has a tad less performance.

A hair better fuel economy IF I manage to keep my foot out of it. Generally speaking, lower EGT's depending on which tow tune I'm in. A LOT BETTER performance for daily driving, if I need to move out, get around a vehicle, pass someone on a two-lane road, or just get up to speed on the freeway on-ramp.

not looking for more power, looking for improved highway mileage... 800 mile tows.....
We were out most of the day with the EX.Well I was told to fix the noise/down shifts.
I'm going to sent the chip back to dial in daily driver.
Looking for similair to stock noise/down shifts.
Do you have a tune from Jody that is like this.
80 econ. to much RPM's/noise(injectors)/down shifts.
MY better half keeps RPM's under 2000. Usally runs 1600 to 2000.
From actual fill-ups, not relying on the lie-ometer, that on trips across the state I have gotten better mileage from the 80 setting than from the stock. Maybe 2 mpg better.
gearing 3.73
its the sudden serge then up to 2000 to 2200 then shift.
Prevoius chip came on easier and could bring up to 2000 then shift.
Less injector noise.
regulated return from Diesel Innovastions and previous chip also.
Hummm, didn't know about the drive-thru and guess I'll have to get one.
Got mine because I'm towing between 8500-9000# of travel trailer on longer distances out here on the west coast and needed more power and better mileage than I was getting stock..I just got stock,60 tow and 80 Economy and have had very good luck. The rig stays upshifted more and not as much hunting when in cruise and I've gone from about 9mpg stock to right at 11 mpg in 60 tow on our last trip to Lake Tahoe and back.In 80 I am running 13-14 intown and as high as 18 on the freeway and mixed. I'd really love to get a run w/o the trailer on the freeway for several hundred miles to see what it'd do.I have caught myself pulling the trailer in 80E a couple of times and uit's awesome.. Jody says it's ok,but to watch the egts really close..

Call Jody, leave him a message, and he'll call you back. Explain your situation and how your rig is acting and how you would prefer it to drive. Jody will take care of it.
Stewart,
I put the reburned 80 econ back in the truck.
Jody put ICP to stock with slight advance in timing.
It is nice an QUITE, with some power.Jody took out the 4-3 downs shifts also.
The wife hasn't said a thing about noise.
I'm in Illonis with winter blend fuel/frigid temps/windows rolled up.
Looking forward to spring, summer blended fuel etc.
I'll have Jody burn another program between this dialed back 80 econ and his normal 80 econ.I'll use that for the summer every day driving.
Thanks again for the support.
