cps question

so i have read a ton of things on here about the recall on the cps. now i have a problem with the truck hesitating almost a skip when at idle and noticable sluggishness when accelerating. is it time to replace the cps now?

I dont not believe the two are related, but I would not go to the dealer for a CPS, contact one of the vendors on this site for the CPS. but do not go to the dealer.

my mechanic said the cps is the timing for the injectors.

Are you seeing any smoke?

Can you tell me about the last time you did an oil change and a fuel filter change..

Have you seen your Check Engine light?

oil is good, fuel filter changed about 4 months ago, no smoke
