Brian Shock Trauma is a level one center, we have several level two centers just in Baltimore, we also have a dedicated burn center at the closest hospital to me, and a few level three centers in my area as well. We also have a dedicate pediatric hospital which handles the majority of the peds trauma cases. The peds hospital is run by Hopkins.

No it isnt. We even have a dedicated agency that oversees the hospital status for the hospitals in the state so we know which hospital we can transport to in case the closest one is backed up.
thats the same style helicopter we have here as well. OSP s&r, mt. hood s&r and all the tv stations are very similar..
and john, my wife said you have some beautiful babys. and to think i have 3 cats.
Thanks Jack! They've changed a little since those pictures. The female in the top picture is filling out a little now and is 75 pounds and is 2 years old. The male in the bottom picture is now 95 pounds and is 10 months old. He's probably going to be about 105-110 pounds when he's finished filling out. They are great dogs and probably two of the best Shepherds I've had. They have the same parents but from different litters.

I believe the area hospitals self-monitor for things like that. the closest hospital to us is less than 3 miles from the firehouse, so we can always load and go if needed.
for us the chopper is 15 minutes. We usually only call for a med evac if there is going to be an extended extrication time or it is really bad and they cant risk transporting to the closest hospital by ground.

1 chopper is 15 ground minutes away, and the other one is about 1 hours driving time away. for us, its extended extrication time, certain injuries, etc.
