Good mornign Sean, John, Brian and to the rest of the cast of characters.
Looks like I missed Medi-evac discussion last night. Our service also flies the EC-135 choppers and a crew consists of the pilot, flight nurse and flight paramedic. We use them for any severe incident as the nearest trauma center are 30 miles away and it woudl be about 35 minutes by ground. By air the chopper is 7 minutes away at their hanger and can be in at the hospital in about 10 minutes.
Morning Neil! Yeah, it was a Medi-Vac kind of night...LOL. My wife and I found out that the flight from our local hospital to one in TN about 90 miles from here costs $22,000.
sorry to hear that sean. hey come to think of it i'd ask randy if he has any springs for your van. but from memory i think the f150 and 250's are the same. the only difference
is the 250 has more leafs than the 150 does. how ever i could be wrong tho. and i don't have a hollander interchange book either...

John a flight to shock trauma in one of the state med evacs is free here in MD.
Hey Shaun! If they had sent her on VSP Med-Flight, it would have been free too. However, the Wings chopper that took her is based at an airport about 20 miles from here and Med-Flight is about 60 miles from here so I guess due to the fact that it was a heart attack, they went with the obvious choice. I'm not complaining because I can't put a price on having my wife alive and well. It's just that $22,000 is a little exhorbitant if you ask me. No wonder the health care system and insurance premiums are in the shape they're in.
that does sound like alot to john. out here the s&r are forever flying to mt.hood for something, like a hiker, hunter, and what not.. or car accidents on hwy26.
but i agree.
