Jeff, you probably already answered this question, but who did the welding and fabrication? Did you do the work or did you have a shop follow your specs?
Either way, the fab work on that is top notch!
I wanna know what your Ex does in the 1/4 mile!!!!
Are they for sale and if so what will it cost including shippng to Miami, FL. I am beside myself waiting for your response. I have always thought of trickng out my Ex. So this is the begining !
Ok Guys, here is my delima. I have contacted everyone I purchased parts from for my turbo build. No one can give me a definate answer on bulk pricing. I can get the hot side built, cold side constructed with MAF block welded in, I can provide the MAF adapter harness, MAF sensor, I should be able to get the injectors at a deal if they ever get back to me. As for the fuel side, the stock pump with a pump booster will be good for 350 RWHP, If you want more you will need to install a larger pump in the tank, I installed larger SS pressure and return lines plus Walbro pumps in the tank with a custom fuel hat unit that got rid of the stock pump that sits on the bottom of the tank in a fuel module unit. I was planing ahead for a built engine with forged rods, pistons and maybe another turbo. You guys can get the same pricing for the rest, I just shopped around on ebay and doing Yahoo searches for the best pricing. I am working with my tuner to figure out a way to provide tunes for various vehicles with different gear ratios and so forth. If anyone would like to give their .02 just chime in. If someone was looking to just get another 100HP at the wheels it wouldn't be that bad of an upgrade. Let me know what you guys think. I know alot of people wouldn't want to pull all the factory fuel lines off the vehicle and bend new lines up like I did.
Jeff
I'm looking for a reasonable bolt-on setup, not squeezing the last 10% of potential out of it. So no, I don't want to spend a lot of time re-doing fuel systems, etc.
Suggestion: Maybe do something like Roush, Saleen, and others do: Stage I, Stage II, ...???
Definitely interested in the dyno numbers. How much of your current performance increase do you attribute to the increased fuel flow, vs turbo, etc?
I'm not real clear on what you're using for the intake now? Are you currently feeding into the stock EX intake, and working up the Lightning intake mod for another improvement, or are you already running a modded lower intake?
Hi Turbo10
Great Mod!
I would be interested in a kit if available. One thing though, Do you have a heat shield worked out for placement under the hood to protect from a fire or tarnished paint on top of the hood? Simply put is the hood protected from heat? Also did you use your old fuel lines as a guide to make the SS lines (ex. exact bends, fittings, flaired ends)?
Thanks
Paul
I can only say I MUST HAVE ONE. Also, I feel bad for you guys living in Commie Cali. Here in Michigan, it is no sniffer, no rules. Man, do I ever want this on mine.
FYI there's a place called inlinetube.com that can make CNC tubing. If you send your lines in they can make a template that can be reproduced. That is if you want to make a kit to sell to the public.
WOW how did I miss this! That's awesome! Wish you would have brought it to our little pulling contest. I would have love to see that thing up against Crazy's 6.4 PSD.
Hey - can anyone tell me about the 7 versus 8 lug hubs/wheels used by Ford around 2000? I have a 2000 Excursion 4x4 V10 I just got and realize that it only has 7 lug wheels. My 1999 F250 ext cab 4x4 truck has what I thought was the standard 8 lug. Any insight would be great, thanks!

You might want to start a new thread for this and welcome to FTE.

It has 8 lugs. Remove the plastic decorator hub cover off and you'll see 8 lugs.
But Chris is right. If you're not adding to the thread, or asking a specific question regarding the topic of the thread, in order to get a broad response for your question, you should always start a new thread.
