I have 3 methonal kits laying around here at the house so I will use a liquid intercooler,if the mounting is too much work..

Really interested in your kit, Buying an 03 excursion today and looking for a turbo kit like this. Have had some experience w turbo's but mostly diesel. Would the injectors, pumps ECM etc come with the kit? Hope the back thing gets better, two fused disks myself, what a B! You truly have some talent though, clean install and looks perfect. Any info on fuel mileage and # to the pavement?

Jeff, I would be interested in the entire package for the turbo, exhaust too. Did you get a fuel map design made from TT or did you do it all with the SCT? Also do you know what any of the operating EGT's were? Just curious so I know how much I can start with on the programming if need be. Is it a holset turbo? I see it had a .63ar and I am assuming that the factory inlet rubber can handle the 7psi just fine. As for the converter, I would not have to worry here either. No problem on the fuel pump, I can manage the fuel upgrades ok as well as some of the BOV and exhaust mods. Seriously looks impressive. Did you ever pull with it? Sorry for all the Q's but I tend to take my mod's way to seriously and then become obsessed with the mod till I cant possibly tweak any more power out. Hope your back is coming along well. Thanks in advance! Oh yeah, how much for the entire package? I live in Minnesota.

Joe,
The guy that tuned it don't believe in rising rate fuel systems or FMU's. I actually went way overkill on my fuel system, I should have just installed the 300LPH external pump and that would have been well enough fuel. I installed an adjustable regulator on it only to set the pressure to factory spec 40psi. The turbo is actually a Turbonetics unit. I went with the .63 ar per turbonetics recommendations, the V10 spends most of it's time below 4000 and to build low end torque i wanted it to spool fast. It made max boost by 3200. The EGT's measured 1-1/2" from the exhaust port in the manifold i built would reach 1400 if you stay in the boost for a long pull. I did tow with a couple short pulls with aprox #5000 behind it. They were short but I could definatly tell the power was up.

Joe B, I forgot to give you a price. Minnesota's not bad for shipping, I would like to get $3300 for everything shipped. That's the FMIC all the aluminum pipe, BOV, Synapse Waste Gate, all the fiddings and vacuum T I made to pick up boost, The turbo, braded pressure and drain lines, All the hotside stuff. Injectors, You name it. I'll take detailed pictures and measurements so you know where to mount everything, Ie Intercooler. and so forth. Plus the SS Magnaflow 4" exhaust. Let me know what you think.

Sounds good to me, EGT's are really cool for 10 lbs but you also had a really smooth exhaust flow w/o the cat. Is there a bad drone in the cabin from the exhaust? This will be the wife's rig so she like's a rumble but not a drone. 17.5mpg sounds right in line w what I expected. Are the manifolds ceramic coated? Also forgot to ask if it is a 2v v10 or a 3v. I assumed it's a 2v. Thanks again. Can I call u to talk more, I think you've got my e-mail. Joe.

Absolutely!! I have an 03 F350 7.3 for my play thing. My wife wont let me get a 7.3 Excursion for her. But that's ok. I have an 88 T-Bird turbo coupe that I modified when I was 18. I'm a little out of practice on the gasser end but will definetely be back on the saddle w this project. Made 404 hp with the little 2.3 in that car to the rears. 7.3 in the truck has a TN turbo w the 1.0 housing and 80 hp injectors as well as a pile of little mods. It does 377 to the rear. Not fantastic but I really don't want to blow a rod on that one. Not too concerned with the v10. Great rotating assembly and decent rod ratio for the rpm it will run. Thinking of upping the AR to something a little more like .75. Don't know, Jeff said TN recommended the .63 and those guys are pretty freakin' good. Hat's off again on your craftsmanship Jeff. Not many guys like us who are willing to take on custom stuff in your garage. I will definetly say that my projects usually don't end up that clean. Hey Bill, you are obviously interested in the end results like me. I used to work for the local mod shop and they have a chassy dyno that I will use for the results. I'm guessing the HP to be somewhere in the 400-470 range and the torque to be 600- 700? Any thoughts anyone?

Hey Jeff, could I call you to work out the details? Didn't know if you had the kit off the truck, don't blame you if it's not! E-mail me when you get a chance, Joe.
