Trip Odometer and Compass

Okay so my 04 f150 has all of a sudden decided to stop showing the compass and odometer. At first they started to blink then it went out. Does anybody know any fixes or were to point towards. any help would be appreciated.

I think the only thing we've seen is a blown bulb...

There's a thread- fairly recent that dealt with removing the cluster to check/change the bulb.

Could even be a connection was jarred loose.

I'll see if I can find it...

It has to be light (as opposed to heavy) connections behind the instrement cluster. I haven't had to remove mine on this truck, but on other vehicles I've owned, they have a plactic plug that fits into the back of the cluster. After awhile the plastic looses it's tension and results in poor contact if any at all. A good certified shade tree mechanc should be able to come up with a fix.
