Help with shocks

So I just put on new 285/75/R16E BFG AT KO's on Thursday. Next is the Hellwig Rear Sway and new shocks.
From what I have been reading the Rancho's seem to be the Shock of choice over the Bilsteins. The question is weather to go with the RSX or the 9000's? What does everyone think? Either one I'm sure will improve my ride since I still have the OEM shocks on with 120K miles. If it helps I tow a 30Ft TT most of the summer months and do a lot of beach offroading as well.

Thanks for the help.

IMO the Rancho RS9000XL with the Free "My Ride" kit is the way to go.

The Rancho RS9000XL shock settings can be adjusted by a Wireless Remote going down the road or wherever with the My Ride kit which is FREE with the purchase of 4 Rancho shocks on their web page between now and 8-31-09. This kit includes the air-pump, brain box, air lines and wireless remote.

The 04 X is my daily driver but I also tow a 11000 pound toybox.. After talking to Xhemi, my choice was easy. I wanted a "dial a ride". I just put the Hellwig bar and 9000xl on the back, still stock in the front. I just finished and went for a test drive.

Ranchos rock!! When I hit a bump, the front end was harder than the back on setting 1. On setting 5, the ride was about the same.. 9 was stiff but very controlled, will be good for towing...

The sway and wander - .........GONE baby.. Ride.....smoooooth..

this thing drives better than any full size vehicle I have ever owned.. You cannot believe how its has been transformed with Ball joints, hellwig bar, and 9000's. I still have to install the Active Suspension in the back, but I think I will be ordering some 9000XL's for the front. I cannot believe the difference!! Now I wish I had gotten the 4shock/dial a ride controller deal...darnit!!

Thanks for you help Joe..

Had my rancho 9000's for over a year now and still nice. Rides like a race car! Back then I had just missed the new wireless controller as a free givaway. Maybe when I need to replace them in the next ? years they will have something bigger and better to give away.

I put on the 9000's a couple of years ago. Love them. For my exercise, I just dial them up from under the EX. I don't change the setting's too often!

Love them!

9000XL's are the way to go!! I put them on my Ex about 1 year ago and, wow what difference! I tow an 11K toy hauler and it really stiffens things up on the stiffest setting and then I adjust them to the softest setting for daily driving. The adjustability is the nice thing about these shocks! It makes a very noticeable difference! Definitely a great shock for what I do with my Excursion!!
