When trying to turn on the wipers my wiper relay module would click with every increment of the dial/speed. Also it will click randomly when the truck is running. So i found one on ebay and swapped it out. Still does the same exact thing. But I have not tested to make sure the wiper motor did no die... Do you guys know what wires need to be jumped on the motor to test it?
when mine did that the plug on the wiper motor had came half off so i pulled the plug off and cleaned it with electric parts cleaner and plugged it back in and works just like new.in 3 years i had to push the plug back on twice
You may have the same problem I had. My wipers would sometimes work. A bang on the dash would get them to operate when they stopped.
Notice that the delay control module is just above where the parking brakes BANGS when you release it. All this banging may have cause the solder joints to loosen on the delay control board. Here's what I did:
Remove the delay control board
dis-assemble it until you see the circuit board. look at the solder points. I could see right away mine were knocked loose.
Take a soldering iron and re-heat the solder joints to re-melt the solder to make new, clean connections.
OR, if you're handy with solder, remove all the old solder and re-solder with new.
Re-install the delay module and try it out.
I have taught myself to put my foot on the parking brake when releasing it so it doesn't bang under the dash.
Good luck

I had the same problem on my 93' F250 a few years back.
Your problem is most likely worn out contacts on the cover of the Windshield Wiper Motor/Gearbox. I think the 93's had a problem with poor contacts, either bad material or just not designed right in the first place.
The cheapest thing to do is to replace your windshield wiper motor and gearbox.
If the contacts don't send the right electrical signals to the black governor control box behind your glove box then the wiper operation goes all haywire. Somtimes they work, sometimes they don't, sometimes they start when you don't want them to start, sometimes they won't come on, and sometimes that darn things won't shut off when you want them too.
You can check the contacts by pulling off the round looking cover on the gearbox, you will see some sliding electrical contacts that will have worn off or will have badly grooved the copper/brass disk they ride on.
Your motor is probably fine but you won't be able to buy the contact separeately so you might as well buy a new Windshield Wiper Motor/Gearbox.
PS my fan blower motor wore out the same way. The carbon brushes were completely gone and it just stopped on day. When I took it apart there was nothing left of the brushes, even the springs had worn away and the commutator was deeply grooved. In the nutshell the blower motor was completely worn out.
thanks for the help guys. i went ahead and bought a new reman motor and it now turn on and works... but only on high, semi-high and the next lower speed. all the others will only work once when they are first clicked onto. and to be honest im happy with just that.
i think i will crack open that relay module since i have a spare and make sure everything is tight in that.

The way you describe it, it sounds like you may also have a problem with your windshield wiper govenor box. (Black Box behind your glove compartment)
A new governor box runs around $100, or so from Ford.
Best of luck,
I know how annoying it is when your wiper do funny things.....
