Injectors
I have an 03 psd with 160 k i don't drive it but once a week now and its starting to give some trouble. First the fuel sender was working intermittently and now registers no fuel last when i drove it i put 1/2 tank so i know its not yet out of fuel.Tonight it would not rev 35-40 mph was a chore and even in neutral hardly spools up.its rattling too. I have a feelng injectors are going any advice will help..Thanks

Does it idle rough? Have a miss? Could be fuel pump or clogged filter. Have you changed your filter recently? If you have no SES light or codes set, it could be fuel pressure related. PCM doesn't monitor fuel pressure.

There is no spooling in neutral. Need a load for that. Where are you located?

I am in South fl .. it idles rough ....is there a lift pump in the tank that could be failing and is the fuel sender an integral part of the lift pump the sender failed about 100 miles ago

i have a 2000 7.3 im having the same problem as you i have a cheap code reader mine says injector malfunction im lost i have a ses light on mine ive been told that its the vavle cover gasket harness i dont know wish i could help but i need help too

There is no pump in the tank. but the are fuel screens and mixing chambers in the fuel tank that will clog and give you fits.

Sounds like a huge boost leak to me. Rough running could be something else, depending how rough. But the big clue is no boost & low power...
