There were
two different flexplates (and harmonic balancers) used in 1979, because there were
two different 460 engines.
There is no serial number or production date break, because this was a running change.
D1SZ6375A .. Flexplate - Use
without weighted spacer.
Fits 1971/73 429 / 1971/78 460, and 1979 460, ALL with a block casting number of:
D1VE - AB .
D9TZ6375A .. Flexplate -Use
with weighted spacer
Fits: 1979 460 ALL w/a block casting number of
D9TE - AB .
The car & truck parts catalog do not list a tooth count for either flexplate.
