Yep -- I couldn't complete either test. The CCT wouldn't start because I have my AIH & EBPV solenoid deleted without any resistors (yet). I need to get that done... But the buzz test started, then quit. I'd really like to find out why it's not working. I'll see if I can get a call into AeroForce and find out what the skinny is. That's not right -- they sell a device that supposed to W, X, Y, & Z and it doesn't. In my biz, I'd get hammered for that.
any word on what the deal is. i have a AIH delete, so i cant get the cct to work right. and the buzz test wont work. i sent a email to terminator said he was not sure what the problem is.
470 ohm 1/2W resistors will fix the AIH issue (same size for the EBPV solenoid). It goes in place of the AIH itself (go from the relay terminal that used to go to the AIH to ground). I haven't tried getting a hold of them yet. Been a busy week, and I have Guard this weekend, so not much time for me to try. I should have more time next week to follow up.
do i need to have that in to do a CCT test? do you need it in to do a CCT test with a AE?
I had heard that if you clear the codes before running the CCT with an AE that it would work even without the "code eliminators". I don't know if it's the same for the ScanGauge. My "code eliminators" keep the codes from setting until I do a KOEO test and it tests their performance. It, then, will show a code for them 'not working'.
You should be able to run the buzz and CCT with a scangauge even with the aih delete. When you complete the cct, all that will show up is the aih code. Unless you have other codes, but it will complete the test. The a/c has to be off and I believe the oil temp has to be up to around 170 or 180. I have been able to run both tests with my scangauge.

how do you do the CCT test? maybe i am doing something wrong.
I believe it is under the "controls" menu in the gauge. Scroll down to buzz or CCT and then you hit one of the buttons. The key is that you must meet the oil temp requirement and have the a/c set to OFF. Give that a try and let me know what happens. I just ran one last weekend, while trying to solve a knock issue.
