do any of you run single shots?
if so do you see mileage increase?
why did they put splits in out trucks, maybe its just me but i like the bit louder sound the older 7.3 s with the single shots make. thoes of you with single shots does your truck seem louder with them?
As Eddie said, yes they will be a little louder. I have 238cc hybrids with 80% nozzles and an H2e, I went from 17-18 max hwy mpg, to 21-22 if I stay at 70-75mph. Now that being said, if I want to I can certainately use the fuel, I could get below 7 mpg getting on it if I wanted to lol.
The reason they went to split shot is because of emission reduction, apparently it doesnt kill as many trees.
Good gravy Cory, is that hand calculated mileage? That's freaking incredible!
I have stock AC codes and toolling down the highway at around 75 - 80, up and over the Grapevine twice (Interstate 5 into LA) I barely got 19mpg.

LOL yessir it is, I dont have a lie o meter, travelling hwy with a 6spd with 35s and stock 3.73 gears is nice, i'm dead on 2k at 75 mph. Once I get above 75mph my mpg takes a crap in a hurry. average daily driving to and from work and romping on it I usually get about 17-18.
I only get 16.5-17.0 mpg at 70-75mph with my truck but its a dually and It has 4:10's and thats on 80e. Thats still better than my chevy 1/2 ton gaser with a 350 in it.
I got 17-17.5 mpg at 70-75mph on my trip to RRE with my Stage 2 singles. Had a bad IPR and weak HPOP. I hope to see better with my Stealth and Jody's new tuning.
