stripped window crank

If not seriously stripped may try taking a small fine triangular file and clean the grooves, it worked for on my 65, this was several years back and have not had any problems. Not aware of a replacement crank spindle. Tried salvaging a regulator by removing the crank from a donor regulator and attach to another with no success. Perhaps with a MIG, or TIG unit. With any luck FTE member may have one; otherwise, likely have to purchase the entire window regulator, 61-66.

For a cure that would get you by for a while , you used to be able to get a ( Set Screw replacment
handle ) they would work real good for a while , how ever it may make it worse ,but keep an eye
on it ,because if the ( Set Screw ) works loose ," and it will " it leaves a circle a round the door
metal and paint ! Also check that you have the right (corect) handle ,and that its not as simple as a striped crappy handle !
P.S. you used to be able to find them in the ( '' HELP " ) section of auto parts stores !
but I would still be looking for that regulator !

The shaft was not sold separately, it only was furnished with the window regulator.

Uh...the splined spindle shaft, the gears, whatever...were only furnished with the window regulator itself.
The only parts that did not come with the window regulator, were the window crank handle and the plastic window roller.
