The green color is because of the copper in the lines corroding from moisture in the brake fluid. Mine was slightly green when I did it a few months ago.
It's really not a big deal, it's good that you caught it now. In my case, I had a severe pull to the left, and it turned out the right front brake hose was clogged with crud, most likely the hose was coming apart. So I changed them on both sides and fully bled everything including the backs.
