another happy Hutch modder

fired her up and took her for a spin. took a couple of minutes to bleed out the last of the air then I heard it. NOTHING - SILENCE no more cackle. Wow what a difference. The best mod I have done yet. I also did the pre pump filter. Here are some pics.

All the bits ready to go

No more leaks

this should keep it clean. 2 micron. 445R2 Racor with bleed pump.

fair bit of crud in the mixing chamber

Is that a pressure regulator on top of the filter housing? Kinda looks like one to me.

no i think that is the bleed pump that little button pushes in and out and sucks the fuel into the filter to prime it.

Man!! That *is* some gross stuff in there. But a good example of why at least a course filter is needed before the pump!

Sweet set up. One of these days I'd like to do that mod with additional filtration like that.

Yeah, I've used that liquid on projects too. It makes things go smoother. Just gotta' make sure I don't use too much of it.

Have mine torn apart right now. Heading down to Parker in a few hours to pick up my filter too. My tank filters were filled much worse, rust and crap from the bed tank which won't be used anymore. I'm also having to change out my pump.
