i should have guess you was up early this morning keeping me on my toes...l
You were right it needed to be moved into this thread. The OP posted his question in the other thread by accident. Didn't mean to mess with your mind this early in the am.
I have done my boots. Leaker detecter. My compressor wheel looks good like yours @ awsome... WOT is 16. Red line unpluged and capped. 17. I used to get 15/16 untill i took off my muffler and 6637. No chips either no exhaust leaks.
If you find a way to get it up without a chip. Let me know.. I spent allot of time to get that 20psi. I guess the dptuner will have to do it.
If you're only getting 14 with tunes, look for leaks. I used to do 16-18 on my stock tune with my stock turbo. Could be the up-pipes, boots, or at the turbo outlet, or maybe even cracked I/C. Since you just had your boots off for cleaning, I assume everything is tight in that area, right?
I have no leaks in my system and the best I have seen is 15 psi. Thats about it on a stock truck. And I have a Superchips on that I did not know about until last week. lol
No up pipe leaks and no boost leak that I can find or hear.
Well, I dont know how I missed it
but here is the problem
Im getting a boost leak detector made up as we speak, just to make sure there is no other surprises.
What bugs me is, my 4" should arrive this week from your side of the world.
The uppies would of been good to do at the same time.
What are my options regarding the up pipes.
I dont like doing jobs half arsed.
Just be sure you're not a early 99. If you are then up pipe replacement isn't so nice!!!
I have a simular leak, I can't replace my up pipes yet but will patch it tell I can replace the up pipes, turbo, intercooler, stuff like that. I think about that time I'll see what clay is up to and pay him a visit over a weekend or what ever and see if he is willing to give me a hand with my beast
