Yes good point. I got one for a 6.5, and you can also get them for an 8.0 box.

Great design, easy to install. Heavy mothers the parts are.

I paid $304.88 plus shipping for a step for 6.5 bed at dealerfit.com. I think the 8.0 is same price.

here is link: http://fparts.dealerfit.com/store/fo...d831_29117.php

It is a great item to have for sure.

Thanks for the link. Is that price for both sides or just one? Thanks again.

Just one. I know, I know. OUCH.

As option, new, when buy truck, they charge $325 each.

BTW, took only half hour to install. No drilling. No cutting. No adding. No subtracting anything from truck. Just a bunch of clips and bolts (13mm I think). I did drop one clip down into the rail and could not find/get it, so main assembly is held by three bolts not four, but no worry, it is very very solid.

Total BS!! Mine were $325 for the set and $350 for the tailgate step.

Hey John, no problem I was just stating what I paid as I ordered them with my truck. Have used them a lot especially with the 5th wheel hitch they are handy to latch and unlatch my hitch. If they want $325 per step its a rip job.

Yes after fact, from parts places, they want $300 +/- per step (less at Tasca another guy says), that I am sure of. I was a ******* for not getting new with the truck I know.

Then, I was wrong in saying that as an option on new vehicle they are also 325 per step, vs 325 for both (which makes sense of course).

Lesson learned, no problem. Thanks
