Mine is 9108 dry and 11893 loaded. pulls it like a dream with 3:31 gears. did not order the truck so took what I could get 12K off price when things were on the downturn, i thought I would try it and maybe add at least 3:73 gears but the 3:31 pull good and 13-15 towing, empty truck runs 20MPG consistantly with at times in the 23 range.with the 6 sp[eed trans at 60MPH runs 1400 RPM on the straights in top gear. the 6 speed trans is the key to milage yet stomp on it or in mountains it has enough to spare. I am going to drive the new 4.6 power boost and compare power and milage.

Ours is a 30' Open Range. weighs about 7700# dry, so I figure I am under 10000# fully loaded. Had a 31' Cardinal TT before that pulled like a brick. This one is so much easier to tow.

Hello. I read your post listed below on ford truck enthusiasts about E4OD torque converter shudder and had questions.

    E4OD Shudder

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Service the trans and torque the valve body bolts and the problem will be gone. I have fixed many thisway.

I can drain the pan and torque converter but am wondering how to torque the valve body bolts and what to torque them to. Thanks, Tim.
